    Registered Nurse (RN) – CVICU

    Location

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide high-acuity nursing care in a CVICU setting managing patients with heart and lung transplants, LVAD, coronary artery bypass, and valve surgeries
    • Titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips in accordance with patient care protocols
    • Operate and monitor advanced cardiac devices including LVAD, CRRT/SLED, Impella, and IABP
    • Maintain 1:2 patient ratios, with occasional 1:1 assignments based on patient acuity
    • Float to other units as needed based on competency and unit census
    • Collaborate with an intensivist-model care team including respiratory therapy assigned to the unit 24/7
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license with current ICU experience
    • Minimum 3 years of ICU nursing experience in a high-acuity hospital setting
    • Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
    • Must be open to floating based on unit needs and competency
    • Must be flexible with scheduling — no self-scheduling; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • CRRT/SLED experience preferred (training available for qualified candidates)
    • Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
    • Experience with LVAD, Impella, and IABP devices
    • Background in a large, busy Level 1 Trauma center environment
