Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / CVICU – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 2026

Location: Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), every other weekend required, some holidays, no call

Highlights:

  • 27-bed Cardiovascular and Cardiothoracic ICU specializing in post-surgical cardiac patients, heart and lung transplants, and advanced cardiac medical conditions
  • Comprehensive case mix including CABG, valve repair/replacement, LVAD, heart and lung transplants, STEMI/NSTEMI, and cardiogenic shock
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios typically 1:2 for ICU patients, with Care Team Leaders and Rapid Response Nurse support
  • Epic charting system with 24 hours orientation provided
  • Magnet-designated teaching hospital and referral center ranked as a top facility in the state
  • Advanced equipment experience required including NxStage CVVHD machine, IABP, Impella, LVAD, and ECMO

Requirements:

  • Active Wisconsin RN license or compact state license
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care CVICU experience within the last 3 years
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required
  • Trauma Level I experience required
  • Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area preferred
  • Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (strict passing criteria applies)
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Floating to other units as needed
