Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / CVICU – Wisconsin

Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), every other weekend required, some holidays, no call
Highlights:
- 27-bed Cardiovascular and Cardiothoracic ICU specializing in post-surgical cardiac patients, heart and lung transplants, and advanced cardiac medical conditions
- Comprehensive case mix including CABG, valve repair/replacement, LVAD, heart and lung transplants, STEMI/NSTEMI, and cardiogenic shock
- Nurse-to-patient ratios typically 1:2 for ICU patients, with Care Team Leaders and Rapid Response Nurse support
- Epic charting system with 24 hours orientation provided
- Magnet-designated teaching hospital and referral center ranked as a top facility in the state
- Advanced equipment experience required including NxStage CVVHD machine, IABP, Impella, LVAD, and ECMO
Requirements:
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact state license
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of acute care CVICU experience within the last 3 years
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area preferred
- Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (strict passing criteria applies)
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Floating to other units as needed
