Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) – Wisconsin

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating day (0700-1930) and night (1900-0730) schedules. Every other weekend required. Some holiday coverage. No call.
Highlights:
- Work in a 27-bed dynamic Cardiothoracic ICU within a Magnet-designated, Trauma Level I facility ranked as Wisconsin's #1 hospital
- Specialized patient population including CABG, valve repair/replacement, heart and lung transplants, LVAD, ECMO, and complex cardiac surgical cases
- Patient ratios of 1-2 patients (occasionally 3 for lower acuity general care patients)
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and physical therapy
- Epic charting system with 24 hours of orientation provided
- Advanced equipment experience including CRRT (NxStage), IABP, Impella, LVAD, and ECMO
Requirements:
- Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact license
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience in CVICU specialty
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- CVICU experience required with demonstrated competency in advanced cardiovascular critical care
- Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required
- Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (strict passing criteria: 100% identification of lethal rhythms, 80% overall score)
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
