Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have Skills/Experience: Required travel experience Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in the cardiovascular intensive care unit. The unit consists of 16 beds with a patient ratio of 1:2. The patient population primarily includes adults and geriatric patients. Common diagnoses and treatments include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A. Fib RVR, alcohol withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR. Supervision is provided by a designated supervisor. Equipment utilized in the unit includes Baxter pumps, and the electronic health record system is Medhost. This role requires floating to an intermediate care unit and assisting with patients holding in the emergency department as needed. Candidates must adhere to the dress code, wearing scrubs of any color. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a community hospital that is Joint Commission accredited and a certified Chest Pain Center.
