Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours per week, day/night rotating shifts. Weekdays with rotating weekends (up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period). Rotating holidays. Saturday/Sunday for day shift, Friday/Saturday for night shift.
Highlights:
- Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 allowing for intensive, focused patient care
- Advanced cardiovascular patient population including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, heart and lung transplants, VAD implantation, and ECMO
- Epic charting system in use facility-wide
- Work with cutting-edge equipment including IABP, Impella, ventricular assist devices, CRRT, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Float opportunities within units of equivalent or lower acuity levels, with rotations no more than once every 4 weeks
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience strongly preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Required clinical skills: IV start, telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz catheter management, conscious sedation, balloon pump (IABP) management, and pulmonary artery line management
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor)
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
- Ability to complete urgent fingerprinting requirements for Ohio credentialing
