Exciting Opportunity for a Travel RN - CVICU Float Pool!** **Job Description:** - **Position:** Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU Float Pool - **Shift:** 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM - **Location:** Asheville, NC - **Unit Name:** Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) - **Building:** J Building **Unit Specifics:** - **Scrub Colors:** All Navy or Navy and White - **Number of Beds:** 16 - **Patient Ratios:** 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 based on acuity) - **Unit Staffing:** RNs only – no HUC or PCT - **Equipment:** Ventilators, Telemetry, Baxter IV Pump, IABP, CRRT, Impella, Hypothermia devices - **Documentation System:** Cerner - **Scheduling Requirements:** 36 hours/week, alternating weekends, 12-hour shifts - **Floating Policy:** Travelers float to all designated areas - **Patient Experience Requirement:** ICU experience required **Hiring Profile:** **Requested Skill Set:** - Titration of Vesicant Medications - Familiarity with Pressors and Sedation - Experience with Paralytics, Ventilators, Trach care, and Telemetry interpretation - Understanding of Hemodynamics and PA Catheter set-up and interpretation - Transvenous pacing and Cardioversion - TEE and familiarity with chest tube insertions and maintenance **Advanced Skills:** - IABP, Impella, CRRT (desirable) **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - Cardioversion and Central line insertion - EGD and Bronchoscopy - Chest Tube insertions, Pericardiocentesis, and Thoracentesis **Certifications:** - None required (CCRN recommended) **Dress Code:** - No pullovers or hoodies - No green scrubs unless uniform is soiled at work - Must adhere to designated uniform colors **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
