Description:
Deliver high-quality direct patient care as a Registered Nurse, ensuring safe, evidence-based interventions aligned with organizational policies and clinical standards.
Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans, evaluating outcomes and adjusting treatment to optimize patient safety and recovery.
Administer physician and nursing orders promptly, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and advancing quality improvement initiatives.
Lead discharge planning efforts, collaborating with patients and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe transitions and effective post-acute care planning.
The unit features 28 beds and utilizes Cerner/COMPASS for electronic medical records.
The patient population includes 80% cardiac surgery and 20% advanced heart failure.
High-risk cardiac surgeries include open heart recovery, heart transplants, LVAD implants, ECMO, Impella, IABP, and CRRT.
Swan Ganz catheters and CCO monitoring are also utilized in patient care.
