Description: This position involves working as a Travel RN in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The unit features a total of 16 beds and is staffed by 45 personnel, including RNs. There is a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio for both day and night shifts. The technology utilized includes GE monitors, EV 1000, Hemispheres, CRRT (NextStage), Impella, Swan Ganz, arterial lines, chest tubes, and vents. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates with specific experience in CVICU, CABG recovery, CRRT, and Impella will be preferred. Typical procedures performed in this unit include hemodynamic monitoring, Swan Ganz catheterizations, arterial lines, and chest tube placements. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player. Floating opportunities may include Medical ICU, Neuro Surgical ICU, and Cardiac PCU. The dress code requires scrubs in royal blue. There are two weekend shifts required biweekly, and there is no on-call duty.
