Candidates must have ventilator experience, arterial/central line, and chest tube management skills. Description: The unit has 16 beds and a staff of 45. All staff members are registered nurses. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 2:1. Night shift has one CNC and a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. The unit is equipped with GE monitors, EV 1000, Hemispheres, CRRT (NextStage), Impella, Swan Ganz, arterial lines, chest tubes, and ventilators. Electronic medical records are managed using Meditech. Typical procedures performed include hemodynamic monitoring, Swan Ganz catheter placement, arterial lines, and chest tube management. The ideal candidate is a team player who works well in a collaborative care environment. Floating may be required to other critical care areas. The dress code requires royal blue scrubs. Weekend shifts are two per biweekly schedule. There is no on-call requirement.
