Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Cardiac Telemetry – North Carolina

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Salisbury, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required, plus 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays in a 6-week period. Float and call requirements based on patient census.

Highlights:

  • Primary cardiac and stroke telemetry unit with high acuity and fast-paced environment
  • Patient ratios of 1:5-6 with pre/post cardiac catheterization, pacemaker implantation, ICD procedures, and stroke care
  • Manage and titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone
  • Epic charting system with 36-hour orientation program and team lead support for admissions/discharges
  • Contract length up to 20+ weeks through February 27, 2027
  • Unit turns over 78-90 patients per week requiring strong time management and critical thinking skills

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience with similar ratios and acuity
  • Current RN license (NC or Compact state)
  • ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Proficient in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • Experience with pre/post cardiac procedures, PCI, TR bands, and cardiac interventions
  • Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Comfortable managing 6-patient assignments in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
