Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be addressed onsite.
Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could result in cancellation.
The unit is seeking travelers willing to accept 20+ week contracts to get through the holidays.
This is a challenging and busy unit; candidates must have similar previous experience with high patient ratios and acuity.
Travelers are encouraged, and first-time travelers are accepted.
The target patient ratio is 1:5-6 but may fluctuate based on unit needs, requiring nurse comfort with a maximum of 6 patients.
Nurses will be required to work every other weekend, along with two Mondays and two Fridays in a six-week period.
The primary patient diagnoses include stable pre and post care for cardiac procedures, stable patients with angina, low-risk chest pain evaluations, and various cardiac conditions.
The unit typically turns over 78 to 90 patients weekly; therefore, nurses should expect to manage their entire assignment multiple times a week.
The unit currently houses patients with COVID-19 utilizing specific respiratory equipment.
Special equipment includes telemetry and pulse oximetry.
Candidates must pass EKG testing before starting in this specialty.
All skills listed in the job description are requirements.
Candidates must be open to floating within the facility as needed.
Self-scheduling is allowed, but it requires oversight from leadership to ensure balance.
Pre-approved time off is limited to a maximum of seven days.
Candidates must work two of three major holidays.
No RTO is permitted during the first week of employment, and any required time off must be pre-approved.
