Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Telemetry – Georgia
Start Date: October 26, 2026

Schedule: 13-week assignment with rotating shifts; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period; 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 33-bed cardiac telemetry unit with average daily census of 16 patients; no call required
Highlights:
- Specialized cardiac telemetry unit focused on adult and geriatric populations with conditions including post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease
- Epic EMR experience required; additional systems include Pyxis and SBAR documentation
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, lift teams, and rapid response teams
- Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration required) including milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, bumex, and heparin
- Broad skill utilization including cardiac telemetry, central line management, blood product administration, post-cardiac catheterization care, and peritoneal dialysis
- First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience; local candidates welcome at same rate
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Georgia or Compact state license required at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience; 2 years preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 1:5 patient ratios in cardiac telemetry or medical-surgical setting
- Demonstrated competency in cardiac monitoring, telemetry interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Proficiency with BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, PCA pumps, and wound care/wound vac
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered); COVID-19 vaccination not required
- Full compliance documentation due by Tuesday prior to start date; must complete core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
- Willingness to float within facility to other cardiac telemetry units or similar units as needed based on scope of practice

Additional Details:
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO) per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
