Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend; patient ratio 1:4; orientation hours provided based on contract length

Highlights:

  • Large, high-acuity emergency department with 59 beds serving 165-175 patients daily
  • Stroke and STEMI certified facility treating diverse patient population from neonates to geriatrics
  • Epic EMR system utilized exclusively (experience required)
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
  • Contract includes holiday coverage as specified; maximum 7 days requested time off per assignment
  • Minimal floating required, within facility and scope of practice only

Requirements:

  • Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience mandatory; candidates with at least 3 completed ER travel contracts strongly preferred
  • Epic EMR system experience required (hard requirement)
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS
  • Experience with 1:4 patient ratios in emergency department settings
  • Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Full compliance documentation due Tuesday prior to start date
