Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (Travel RN) - Spokane, WA

Travel RN opportunity for a Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse in Spokane, Washington. Join a supportive acute care team providing expert telemetry and progressive care for adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced, teaching hospital setting. Job Details

• Location: Spokane, WA 99204
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Schedule: 36 hours per week, typically 3 x 12-hour day shifts
• Shift Duration: 12-hour days, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,050 - $2,160
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: May float to Telemetry or Med/Surg units when needed
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:3-4
• Orientation: 40 hours
• On-Call: Not required

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• At least 1 year of recent experience in Stepdown, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or Telemetry nursing
• Must be able to manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Strong cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Ability to work every other weekend and commit to holiday coverage as scheduled
• Comfortable floating to related units based on staffing needs
• Compact or state nursing license in hand at time of submission, if applicable

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric cardiac stepdown patients
• Monitor, assess, and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips per unit protocols
• Care for patients with CHF, Afib RVR, chest pain rule-out MI, post-cardiac cath, and other telemetry-based diagnoses
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and perform ongoing patient assessments in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, coordinated care
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic
• Support patient safety, infection control, and evidence-based nursing practices
• Adapt to floating assignments within Med/Surg or Telemetry areas when needed
