- Weekend Coverage: Variable, with weekend shifts expected
- Floating: May float between units as needed, including appropriate pediatric areas
- Charting System: Epic
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,050 - $2,160
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of NICU nursing experience required
- Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or a compact license in hand at submission
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Comfortable caring for neonates and managing patient assignments with ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:3
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and occasional floating assignments
- Strong neonatal clinical skills and confidence in a high-acuity NICU environment
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled, family-centered nursing care to neonates in the NICU
- Monitor patient status closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately
- Manage neonatal respiratory support, IV therapy, and other specialized NICU interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team to support optimal patient outcomes
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in Epic
- Maintain a safe, compassionate, and organized care environment
- Adapt to unit needs, including floating when necessary and supporting workflow during busy shifts
