• Patient Ratio: 1:3 to 1:4

• Call Requirement: Yes, with a 30-minute response expectation
• Float Expectations: Medical Surgical and Telemetry, with ED holds if needed for admission
• Charting System: Medhost

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
• ICU experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Ability to work a 12-hour day shift schedule
• Comfort with call responsibilities and a quick response time
• Experience caring for cardiac and complex medical patients preferred
• Ability to float to Medical Surgical and Telemetry units as needed
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and clinical decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate cardiac stepdown nursing care to IMC patients
• Monitor and manage patients with conditions such as STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, COPD, sepsis, atrial fibrillation with RVR, and acute respiratory failure
• Assess patient status, recognize changes quickly, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments according to established standards of care
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support patient recovery
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
• Support patient education and discharge planning to promote positive outcomes
• Remain flexible in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment and assist where needed across similar acuity areas
