• Float Requirements: Medical Surgical and Telemetry; ED holds if pending admission
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• ICU or higher-acuity experience required
• Ability to care for patients with cardiac and complex medical diagnoses
• Strong comfort level with telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and intermediate care workflows
• Must be flexible and willing to float to Medical Surgical and Telemetry units as needed
• Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes when assigned

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a cardiac stepdown and IMC setting
• Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses such as STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, COPD, sepsis, atrial fibrillation with RVR, and acute respiratory failure
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to assess, plan, and deliver safe, effective patient care
• Administer medications, monitor cardiac status, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Support recovery for post-operative and complex medical patients requiring closer observation
• Maintain accurate documentation using the facility EHR system
• Float to Medical Surgical and Telemetry units when assigned
• Adapt quickly to a fast-paced travel nurse environment while maintaining excellent patient care standards
