Travel RN Job Details

Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Georgia
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience
• Recent cardiac stepdown, progressive care, PCU, IMCU, or comparable acute-care nursing experience
• Experience caring for ventilated patients and patients receiving critical drips
• Strong medication-management skills and clinical judgment
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Must meet the facility’s 75-mile radius requirement based on the address listed on the traveler’s driver’s license

Travel Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to high-acuity cardiac stepdown and IMCU patients
• Monitor patients requiring ventilator support, critical drips, and close hemodynamic observation
• Administer medications safely and evaluate patient responses to treatment
• Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly escalate concerns to the appropriate clinical team
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, develop and update care plans, and document accurately in MEDITECH
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Provide patient and family education while promoting safe, compassionate, evidence-based care
