• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 - $1,940
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4
• Setting: Cardiac stepdown / telemetry / progressive care
• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required; one major holiday required

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including telemetry experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced acute-care setting
• Experience in cardiac stepdown, MS/Tele, progressive care, or telemetry nursing preferred
• Ability to provide recent supervisory reference(s) and complete compliance requirements in a timely manner
• Must be comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care to cardiac stepdown and telemetry patients with complex medical needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, identify changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately
• Administer medications and manage therapies including cardiac drips, oxygen support, and IV interventions
• Support patients requiring BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube care, central line management, and other stepdown-level treatments
• Perform comprehensive assessments and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Document nursing care accurately and efficiently in Epic
• Educate patients and families while promoting comfort, safety, and positive outcomes
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and support services to deliver coordinated, high-quality care
