• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Weekly Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: August 31, 2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
• Location: Longview, TX 75601

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac stepdown, progressive care, telemetry, or a related nursing specialty preferred
• BLS certification from AHA required
• ACLS certification from AHA required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Strong ability to practice independently in a complex acute care setting
• Experience caring for patients with respiratory issues, sepsis, cardiac conditions, and multiple comorbidities

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine and complex nursing care to assigned cardiac stepdown patients using the nursing process
• Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care needs in an acute care hospital setting
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and provider orders
• Monitor patients for treatment effectiveness, side effects, and changes in clinical condition
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, interventions, and care provided in the medical record
• Support patients and families by assessing learning needs and providing clear patient education
• Respond to changing patient conditions with sound clinical judgment, critical thinking, and teamwork
• Delegate and coordinate care appropriately to support safe, efficient, and effective patient care
