Travel Nurse RN - Cardiac Catheterization Lab in Tucson, AZ

Key Responsibilities

• Admit and assess patients, planning and implementing individualized nursing care in the Cardiac Observation Unit
• Prepare patients for Cath Lab procedures, including IV placement, access preparation, and completion of pre-procedure checklists
• Prepare patients for bedside procedures including Cardioversions (CV) and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
• Recover post-procedure patients following cardiac catheterization with conscious sedation
• Sedate, circulate, and document bedside procedures such as CV and TEE
• Discharge patients, including education, documentation, and physical discharge coordination

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or a compact state license
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Background in PACU, ICU, Telemetry, Cath Lab, or Surgery Center settings (considered on a case-by-case basis)
• Experience working with high-acuity, high-risk cardiac patients
• Familiarity with EP Lab or Cardiac Cath Lab workflows and procedures
