Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab / EP

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Three 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM), Monday–Friday, plus call rotation (6–10 call shifts per schedule; 30-minute response time required)
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate in an active Cardiac Cath Lab and EP Lab environment, supporting 10–25 cases per day including interventional, peripheral vascular, EP, mitral clip, TAVR, IABP, and EMTALA placements
- Operate and work alongside Philips and Siemens imaging equipment within a multi-room lab setting (main Cath Lab rooms, EP lab, and hybrid OR)
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner and Xper EMR systems
- Participate in on-call rotation with a required 30-minute response time; weekend coverage required (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule)
- Complete facility-required competency assessments including a Dysrhythmia Exam (passing score 80%, two attempts allowed) and a Simulation Lab skills evaluation (Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes)
- Collaborate with Radiology Technologists, Charge Nurses, and ancillary staff including 24/7 Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy support
Required Qualifications
- Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Must pass a Dysrhythmia Exam prior to contract start (80% passing score; two attempts permitted)
- Must successfully complete facility Simulation Lab competency evaluation (Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes); strong sterile field technique is essential
- Cardiac Cath Lab or EP Lab experience required; circulating role (scrubbing not required for RNs)
- Candidates must meet the 50-mile radius requirement from the facility (driver's license used as source of truth)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Level I Trauma or high-volume Level II Trauma environment
- Familiarity with Philips telemetry systems and Siemens imaging equipment
- Prior experience with advanced cardiac procedures such as TAVR, mitral clip, IABP, or hybrid vascular/cardiac cases
