    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (16 Weeks) | Days, 4x10-Hour Shifts (07:00–17:30) | One scheduled late shift per week (10:00–20:30) to accommodate extended cases | On-call required | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures including Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, Pacemaker implantation, Loop monitor placement, TEE, and Cardioversions
    • Manage and monitor patients presenting with Acute Coronary Syndrome, CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, AFIB, and Bradycardia across an average daily census of 7–14 cases in a 2-room Cath Lab
    • Operate specialized equipment including Balloon Pump and IVUS
    • Participate in on-call shifts; expected availability within 30 minutes of the facility when on-call — approximately 10–13 call shifts per month (Monday–Friday: 17:30–07:00; weekends/holidays: 07:00–07:00)
    • Float to pre-op and PACU within the unit and specialty as needed
    • Don and doff sterile surgical scrubs provided on-site each shift
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact license at time of submission
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting required (first-time travelers with a documented 3-year Cath Lab background will be considered)
    • BLS certification – American Heart Association only
    • ACLS certification – American Heart Association only
    • CPI certification required (on-site completion during orientation is acceptable; the Calm Every Storm online version is the only accepted online option)
    • Local candidates are welcome and will be considered at a local travel rate
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
    • Experience with Balloon Pump and IVUS equipment
    • Comfort with floating within scope and specialty with no restrictions
