Job Title: Cath Lab RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 3 years in cardiac cath lab or relevant background License: Active state RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI Must-Have: - Proven background in cardiac procedures - Ability to manage patient care in a fast-paced environment Description: The Cath Lab RN will work day shifts with a schedule of 4x10 hours. They will be responsible for the care of patients undergoing cardiac procedures. Experience in acute coronary syndrome cases is preferred. The Cath Lab is equipped with two procedure rooms. Average daily census ranges from 7 to 14 cases. Procedures performed include percutaneous coronary interventions, pacemaker insertions, and cardioversions. On-call responsibilities require a 30-minute arrival time. Scheduled on-call shifts run evenings and weekends. Weekends and holidays may be required based on departmental needs. Floating to pre-operative and post-anesthesia care units may be necessary. Candidates should possess skills in monitoring and managing patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures. Certifications in BLS and ACLS are required upon hiring. CPI certification will be obtained during orientation. Strict adherence to infection prevention protocols is essential.
