Contract | Days | 8-hour shifts with a 6:00–6:30 AM start time | On-call required (approximately 10–11 days per month, including one weekend per month)
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate cardiac, peripheral, neuro, and traumatic embolization cases in a multi-room cath lab environment handling approximately 5–15 cases per day
- Monitor cases using a GE MacLab/Combo Lab Hemodynamic Monitoring System; all staff are cross-trained to monitor
- Support EP procedures including ICDs, pacemakers, and ablations (A-Flutter, SVT, A-Fib)
- Float between two campus locations as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation, including weekend call coverage
- Complete a brief orientation period and be expected to independently circulate cases within the first week
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)
- Prior Cardiac Cath Lab experience with the ability to independently circulate cases
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring systems
- Ability to work an on-call schedule, including weekends
- Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any facility within the CommonSpirit Health system, including CHI and/or Dignity Health, within the past year (candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EP procedures such as ICD implantation, pacemakers, and cardiac ablations
- Familiarity with GE MacLab or comparable hemodynamic monitoring platforms
- Experience with peripheral and neuro cath lab cases
- Travel nursing background with demonstrated ability to acclimate quickly to a new unit
