Shift Information

Days with on-call rotation.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required.
• 1 year of critical care experience required.
• Cardiovascular intervention experience is essential.

Certifications/Requirements

• Current BLS/BCLS certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Wisconsin or Compact RN licensure.
• Successful completion of an EKG test.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to provide patient care.
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state laws.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and comprehensive, aligning with established standards of care.
• Develop and execute personalized patient care plans as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy.
• Provide education to patients and families at an appropriate level of understanding.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance initiatives.
• Utilize clinical expertise to support patients' longitudinal care plans across different units/departments.
• Manage complex patient situations, ensuring safety and positive patient experiences; delegate tasks appropriately and escalate issues as needed.
• Engage in personal development and participate in opportunities for continuous learning and growth.
• Support peer review and provide peer feedback.
• Maintain timely patient flow and respond to telephone inquiries, including performing telephone triage as needed.
