Behavioral Health Registered Nurse – Days

 

Location: Malibu, California
Contract: 16 weeks
Start Date: September 16 or October 16
Shift: Days
Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: 5 × 8-hour shifts
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Position Overview

 

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) for a 16-week evening assignment providing care in a secure behavioral health setting serving a juvenile population.

 

This opportunity is ideal for an RN with recent inpatient psychiatric experience who is comfortable performing assessments, triage, and blood draws.

Schedule

  • 40 hours/week
  • 8-hour evening shifts
  • 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
  • Every other weekend required
  • 16-week contract
  • Start date: 9/16 or 10/16

Requirements

  • 2 years of psychiatric inpatient experience required
  • Recent experience within the last 1–2 years in one or more of the following:
    • Med-Surg
    • Emergency Room
    • Psychiatric care
    • Correctional health
  • Must be comfortable performing blood draws and patient assessments/triage
  • Experience in a detention center, jail, locked behavioral health unit, or other secured environment preferred
  • Active California RN license
  • BLS
  • MAB/CPI certification required
  • Travel experience not required

  • Juvenile Court Behavioral Health Services
  • Psychiatric/behavioral health
  • Correctional/secure environment

Pay Package

 

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2,200/week

  • Taxable Rate: $25/hr
  • Overtime Rate: $37.50/hr
  • Taxable Weekly Pay: $1,000
  • Housing Per Diem: $1,200/week
  • Estimated Gross Weekly: $2,200

Additional Information

  • Facility Size: 140 beds
  • Scrub color: Not provided
  • Assignments are offered at a weekly rate for the 16-week contract
