Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN Behavioral Health for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa.

Job Summary

- Location Requirements:
- No local candidates; must live at least 50 miles from facility (verified by driver’s license).

- Unit Information:
- Unit Locations: Will float across all Des Moines campuses to similar units.
- Bed Sizes: Geriatric – 12, Adolescent – 12, Adult – 24.
- Staffing Ratios: Up to 1:4-6 depending on unit/shift.
- Patient Types: Acute psychiatric, major mental health illness, chronic behavioral issues (violence, aggression, mania, self-harm).
- Home Unit: Geriatric.
- Equipment: Must be competent in use of restraints.
- Scrub Colors: Navy blue solids.

- Submission/Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 15 months of recent psych/behavioral health experience required.
- EPIC EHR experience required.
- First-time travelers accepted with at least 12 months psych/BH experience.
- Recent/current inpatient experience highly preferred.
- 
- Required Documentation:
- Resume/work history with 24 months current psych/BH experience.
- Skills checklist specific to psych/behavioral health.
- Active Iowa or compact/multistate RN license.
- Driver’s license.
- BLS (AHA or ARC) certification.

- Certification & License Requirements:
- BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- CPI or equivalent (MOAB, SAMA, MAB).
- Active RN license in Iowa or compact state.

Med Ninjas Job ID #14936. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
