Job Requirements

• Active New York State RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
• Stroke certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of acute hospital Registered Nurse experience
• At least 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Experience caring for patients across all age groups in an emergency room setting
• Strong communication, critical thinking, assessment, and triage skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to Emergency Department patients and their families
• Perform triage, prioritize patient needs, and respond appropriately to urgent and emergent situations
• Conduct primary and secondary assessments, document findings, and reassess patients throughout their visit
• Support diagnostic procedures, treatments, and therapeutic interventions in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and home recovery needs
• Collaborate closely with physicians, clinicians, and the healthcare team to promote safe, effective, patient-centered care
• Maintain a healing environment while respecting the physical, emotional, psychosocial, and cultural needs of each patient
