We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse leader to serve as Director of Quality Services. This is a leadership position responsible for organizational quality, patient safety, performance improvement, risk management, regulatory compliance, and accreditation activities across multiple healthcare settings.

Schedule: 40 hours per week

The Director will work closely with executive leadership, medical staff, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to promote high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI), patient safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance programs
  • Provide oversight for Quality Services, Infection Prevention, Case Management, Utilization Review, Social Services, Employee Health, and related programs
  • Maintain organizational readiness for CMS, The Joint Commission, state regulatory agencies, and other accreditation/licensing requirements
  • Monitor quality and patient-safety indicators and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and implement corrective action and performance improvement plans
  • Lead or facilitate Root Cause Analyses (RCA)
  • Develop and present quality dashboards, scorecards, and performance reports to leadership and governing bodies
  • Support patient complaint and grievance processes and monitor trends affecting patient experience and safety
  • Collaborate with medical staff on quality review activities, including OPPE and FPPE
  • Provide education and guidance to leaders and staff regarding quality, patient safety, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards
  • Supervise and support staff within assigned quality-related departments and programs
  • Promote a culture of patient safety, accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current RN license or ability to obtain appropriate state licensure
  • Minimum 2 years of professional nursing experience, preferably in an acute-care hospital
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience required
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare quality, patient safety, performance improvement, risk management, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards
  • Knowledge and experience with CMS and The Joint Commission requirements
  • Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field
  • Previous hospital Quality Management/Quality Services leadership experience
  • CPHQ or comparable healthcare quality certification
  • Experience leading regulatory surveys, QAPI initiatives, Root Cause Analyses, and corrective action plans
