  • Patient Ratios: 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
  • Float Requirement: May float to nearby campuses and, as needed, to pediatrics or newborn care areas

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of NICU nursing experience required
  • Level III or Level IV NICU experience strongly preferred
  • Current RN license in hand; compact license accepted at submission
  • BLS and NRP required
  • Experience with Epic preferred
  • Comfortable caring for neonates and infants, including high-acuity and premature patients
  • Ability to work nights and maintain flexibility for occasional floating
  • Strong clinical skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment
  • Reference checks and compliance requirements must be completed prior to start

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert bedside care to critically ill neonates and infants in a Level III/IV NICU
  • Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced respiratory support, including CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, and oscillators
  • Administer blood and blood products safely and accurately
  • Support care for infants with central lines, PICC lines, feeding tubes, and syringe pumps
  • Assist with thermoregulation interventions, including cooling and warming blankets
  • Participate in high-risk deliveries and neonatal surgical care
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and other clinical support teams
  • Maintain accurate charting and deliver compassionate, family-centered neonatal nursing care
  • Adapt quickly to unit needs, including rare floating to other nearby pediatric or newborn care areas
