Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of NICU nursing experience required
  • Experience in a Level III NICU required; Level IV NICU experience preferred for shorter-experience candidates
  • Active Registered Nurse license required
  • Compact RN license must be in hand at submission
  • BLS and NRP required
  • Comfort caring for neonates and infants, including high-acuity and critically ill patients
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary neonatal care team
  • Open to floating as needed within the care network

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care for critically ill neonates and infants in a neonatal intensive care unit
  • Support high-risk deliveries and neonatal surgeries
  • Manage advanced respiratory support, including CPAP/BiPAP, high-frequency ventilation, oscillators, and conventional vents
  • Administer blood and blood products, and monitor patients closely during treatment
  • Care for infants with cooling/warming blanket therapy, feeding tubes, PICC/central lines, and syringe pumps
  • Perform ongoing assessments, document care accurately, and respond promptly to changing patient conditions
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and other support services to deliver excellent neonatal care
