Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 3 years of recent NICU experience, with Level III NICU experience required; Level IV NICU experience is highly valued
- BLS and NRP required
- Experience caring for high-acuity neonates, including extremely premature infants
- Comfort working with CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, oscillators, high-frequency ventilation, PICC/central lines, feeding tubes, blood product administration, and therapeutic hypothermia
- Experience with Epic preferred
- Must be comfortable floating as needed and working in a team-based, fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and neonatal assessment skills
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill neonates and infants in a Level III/IV NICU
- Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition with accuracy and urgency
- Support respiratory therapies and manage advanced neonatal equipment as needed
- Administer medications, blood products, and nutritional support according to NICU protocols
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal surgical care
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver exceptional patient care
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record
- Maintain a compassionate, family-centered approach in a highly specialized care setting
