Overview

This is an exciting 13-week travel nursing opportunity for an experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse supporting neonatal patients in a fast-paced, specialized environment. You’ll care for premature and critically ill newborns, assist with high-risk deliveries, and contribute to excellent patient outcomes in a unit known for advanced neonatal care and strong interdisciplinary teamwork.

• Position: NICU Registered Nurse (NICU RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
• Shift Pattern: 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850 - $1,950
• Unit Type: Level III/IV NICU
• Patient Population: Neonates and infants, including extremely premature babies
• Location: Seattle, WA 98122
• Start Date: Available to begin as scheduled

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of recent NICU experience required
• Experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU preferred
• Active Registered Nurse license in Washington State or compact license in hand at submission
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
• Strong neonatal critical care skills, including ventilator management and central line care
• Ability to work in a high-acuity, team-based healthcare environment
• Willingness to float between nearby campuses as needed
• Comfortable with intermittent weekend coverage and holiday rotation requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to critically ill neonates and premature infants in a busy NICU setting
• Monitor, assess, and respond quickly to changes in neonatal patient condition
• Support high-risk deliveries and neonatal surgical cases as needed
• Manage advanced respiratory support such as CPAP, BiPAP, oscillators, and ventilators
• Administer blood products, medications, and neonatal therapies safely and accurately
• Maintain and manage feeding tubes, PICC lines, and central lines
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and other care team members
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record
• Adapt to floating assignments across related units when required
• Deliver compassionate, family-centered care in a fast-paced neonatal intensive care unit
