Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a NICU position requiring 2 years of Level III/IV NICU experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-07:00), 13-week assignment
• NICU unit caring for neonates across gestational ages, from <24-28 weeks to >34 weeks
• May float to BPD (bronchopulmonary dysplasia) NICU with average length of stay of 2-3 years, requiring comfort with frequent trach care and heavy parent involvement
• Float requirement to PICU, CVPICU, stepdown, MS, and rarely ED as needed
• Float requirement to additional campuses including Riverside, St. Ann's, Grant Medical, Dublin Methodist, and Doctors Hospital
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required, in hand prior to start
• BLS and NRP certifications required; PALS preferred
• 1 year of Level IV NICU experience required
• 2 years total Level III/IV NICU experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, UAC/UVC management, and neonatal dosage calculations
• Experience with high-risk delivery attendance, ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), and respiratory distress syndrome care
• Experience with neonatal sepsis, therapeutic hypothermia, and neonatal abstinence syndrome preferred
• 2 professional references required at time of consideration, at least one from a manager or supervisor

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive neonatal intensive care including respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, neurologic, and infectious disease management
• Support high-acuity neonatal patients including those requiring ECMO, oscillators, and nitric oxide therapy
• Two-part interview process including initial screening with the Float Pool Leader followed by a possible interview with the NICU unit manager
• Floating to different units and campuses is a requirement and point of emphasis for this facility
• Candidates must not have worked in a permanent role at this health system within the last 2 years
• No local candidates permitted within a 60-mile radius
• RTO must be submitted for consideration
