Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a fast-paced admission unit requiring BLS, ACLS, and Level 1 trauma center experience.

Details

• 10-bed rapid admission unit handling general medical patients and surgical patients awaiting surgery
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for Med/Surg RN
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Faster patient turnover compared to a typical medical surgical unit
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling generally not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Must have experience in high-acuity, high-volume Level 1 trauma center environments
• Proven success managing critical, fast-paced, large-scale trauma cases
• Must be able to communicate clearly and work independently
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to general medical and surgical patients in a rapid-turnover admission unit
• Mandatory holiday coverage required: Thanksgiving Day or the day after, plus either Christmas Eve and Christmas Day or New Year's Eve and New Year's Day
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
