Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a Level 1 trauma center's float pool, requiring high-acuity trauma experience and EPIC proficiency.

Details

• Float pool position covering all medical/surgical units as needed
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Deferred schedule type with 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling generally not approved by units
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg specialty
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume Level 1 trauma centers required
• Proven success managing critical, fast-paced trauma cases required
• Background limited to small or low-volume hospitals not accepted
• Certification card and Nursys license verification required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across multiple medical/surgical units as part of the float pool
• Work in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and severe cases
• No RTO permitted during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel positions
