Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical Neurology unit during day shift hours
• Manage and monitor neurological patients, applying NIHSS assessment skills as part of routine care
• Care for step-down level patients as needed, requiring the ability to manage higher-acuity conditions
• Accurately document all patient care activities and clinical findings using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be verifiable via Nursys
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical or Neurology nursing
• NIHSS certification required — must be documented in candidate profile/CV
• ACLS certification required
• Proficiency in EPIC EMR — must be noted on candidate profile
• Strong Med/Surg background with demonstrated neurology experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Step-down unit experience
• Experience managing higher-acuity neurological patient populations
• Familiarity with stroke protocols and neurological assessment tools
