Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care or inpatient RN experience within the last 3 years
• Current BLS certification from AHA
• Experience starting IVs required
• Epic charting experience required
• Telemetry knowledge and willingness to complete a pre-start telemetry exam
• Strong comfort caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Ability to float as needed
• Prior experience with correctional or law-enforcement patient care preferred

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care for adult Med/Surg Telemetry patients with a variety of diagnoses
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Start and maintain IVs and support common medical-surgical interventions
• Deliver safe care to patients in a secure unit environment when needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, respiratory services, PT, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Document accurately in Epic and follow unit workflows and safety procedures
• Support a positive patient experience while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced acute care setting
