• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Telemetry
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Shift: Rotating day/night 12-hour shifts
• Shift Times: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 10/26/2026
• Schedule: Every other weekend rotation; holidays as needed
• Orientation: 20 hours
• Setting: Adult Med/Surg Telemetry
• Location: Madison, WI

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in the specialty within the last 3 years
• Telemetry nursing experience with successful completion of a telemetry exam prior to start
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience starting and maintaining IVs
• Strong rhythm interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
• Ability to work rotating day/night shifts and float as needed
• Prior experience caring for law enforcement or correctional patients is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg Telemetry patients
• Monitor telemetry, identify dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Manage a variety of diagnoses under the Family Medicine service line
• Start and maintain IV access and support common med/surg interventions
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards
• Document accurately in Epic and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, PT, pharmacy, phlebotomy, radiology, and rapid response resources
• Float as needed and support patient care across the unit when assigned
• Participate in care for correctional-health patients while following required safety procedures
