Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification from AHA only
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• Prior telemetry experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Travel nursing experience required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative acute care environment

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for patients with general internal medicine and geriatric diagnoses
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in cardiac status
• Administer medications and manage therapies including IV insulin drips, oxygen support, and central line care
• Support patients requiring isolation precautions and special pathogens-related care
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, IV teams, and rapid response resources
• Float to similar inpatient units as needed to support patient care needs
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic
• Promote a professional, respectful, and education-focused care environment
• Participate in safe, effective care for a busy 28-bed acute care unit
