• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Travelers are first to float to other units as needed
• Charting System: EPIC

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Current BLS certification required
• 1+ year of hospital nursing experience preferred
• Ability to titrate Heparin drips
• Comfort working with general medical-surgical patients in an acute care environment
• Must be prepared to follow unit policies, including drug screening requirements
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients with a variety of diagnoses
• Monitor patients receiving oxygen therapy, telemetry, and stable respiratory support as needed
• Administer medications and manage titratable Heparin infusions safely and accurately
• Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and interdisciplinary team members to support safe patient care
• Perform IV starts and use available resources when additional support is needed
• Document care and patient status clearly and accurately in the electronic medical record
• Support a positive, team-oriented care environment while adapting to changing unit needs
