• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certification
• Experience with NG tube placement, Foley catheter placement, blood administration, and titratable heparin and insulin drips
• Ability to safely titrate infusions and manage a busy patient assignment in an acute-care hospital setting
• Comfort working night shifts and participating in weekend and holiday coverage
• Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to postpartum, post-surgical, and general medical/surgical patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status while responding appropriately to changes in condition
• Administer medications, blood products, and ordered therapies in accordance with best practices and provider orders
• Titrate heparin and insulin infusions as indicated by patient needs and clinical protocols
• Perform NG and Foley placements and support routine Med/Surg nursing interventions
• Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care technicians, and the interdisciplinary care team to support quality patient outcomes
• Float to other general medical units as needed while maintaining a high standard of patient care
