Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Neuro ICU – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: October 20, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage required (approximately half of weekends per contract). Patient ratio of 2:1. Float to ICU/IMC/Tele as needed.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a 16-bed Neuro ICU with daily census of 14 patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system utilized for documentation
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Orientation provided with modules completed onsite during orientation period
• One pre-approved time off period available

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with neuro ICU experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 2:1 patient ratios
• Proficiency in neuro-specific skills including CVA/acute stroke management, post-craniotomy care, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, ICP monitoring, external ventricular drains, ventilator management, central line care, blood product administration, and dysrhythmia management
• Community hospital and trauma center experience preferred
• Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
