Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU RN or Neuro ICU experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from AHA
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with ventilators, telemetry, and intracranial pressure monitoring
• Ability to manage invasive lines and advanced neuro monitoring equipment
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and adaptability in a high-acuity hospital setting
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate care to adult Neuro ICU patients with complex neurologic conditions
• Monitor and manage patients with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, seizures, neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, and post-operative neurosurgical needs
• Care for mechanically ventilated patients and support advanced airway and respiratory management
• Perform and assist with bedside procedures and neurocritical interventions, including ICP and EVD monitoring
• Administer medications, titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high standards of safety, infection prevention, and patient-centered care
