Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a Nephrology Telemetry night shift position requiring MO or compact RN licensure and peritoneal dialysis experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting in the Telemetry unit with a Nephrology patient population
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Weekend requirement of 2 shifts every other weekend, either Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on rotation
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within service line to meet facility needs
• Uses EPIC for charting
• Special requirement: experience with peritoneal dialysis

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO state or compact, compact must match permanent residence)
• Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; NURSYS preferred
• 1-2 years of recent experience preferred
• Skills in cardiac telemetry, cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Must be able to accommodate facial hair fit-testing requirements for respiratory protection

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care within a Nephrology Telemetry unit, including dysrhythmia monitoring and emergency response
• Navy scrub color required
• No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius of the facility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Pending license candidates may be considered
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to this health system as a traveler
• Standard travelers may work up to an 18-month period before requiring a 3-month break in service
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
