Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2 years of experience and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills on night shift.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit setting with a 1:7 patient ratio
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (18:30-07:00) with 36/36, 36/48, or 48/48 schedule options
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to other units as needed
• Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA certification only accepted)
• 2 years of recent experience required
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation skills required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with cardiac drips, PCA, and heparin protocols
• Skills in oxygen administration and BiPAP/CPAP management preferred

Additional Information

• Provide care for cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, and renal patient populations
• Participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside clinical care duties
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online modules averaging 4-5 hours
• EKG competency testing required within 72 hours of signing
• Drug screening must be completed 12-14 calendar days prior to start date
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet fit testing guidelines
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous travel experience not required
