Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele, telemetry nursing, or a closely related specialty
• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and active at submission
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts as needed
• Willingness to work at least every other holiday
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation
• One qualifying reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
• Must be able to meet compliance requirements, including background review and onboarding timelines

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to adult Med/Surg Telemetry patients in an acute care hospital setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition promptly
• Administer medications and treatments according to established standards and provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record
• Support safe patient transfers, discharges, and ongoing care coordination
• Maintain a professional, flexible approach in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care while promoting safety and positive outcomes
