• Weekend Rotation: Two weekends per six-week schedule period, with additional weekends available if desired
• Orientation: 20 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Additional Requirement: Telemetry exam required prior to start

Job Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care Registered Nurse experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• Prior Med/Surg Telemetry experience preferred
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• BLS certification through AHA required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Ability to pass a telemetry assessment before start
• Willingness to float as needed
• Ability to work night shifts and participate in weekend and holiday rotations as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition promptly
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established nursing standards
• Support patients with a variety of complex acute care needs, including respiratory support, wound care, IV therapy, and post-operative recovery
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care team members to promote safe, effective patient care
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain thorough, timely charting
• Respond appropriately to telemetry findings and escalate concerns when indicated
• Adapt to changing patient assignments and float to meet unit needs
• Deliver compassionate care while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced hospital environment
