Job Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
• Previous Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to successfully pass a telemetry exam before start date
• Willingness to float as needed
• Travel nursing experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for adult and geriatric Med/Surg Tele patients
• Monitor telemetry and recognize/report changes in patient condition promptly
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments safely and accurately
• Manage common Med/Surg needs including wound care, oxygen therapy, isolation precautions, and blood product administration
• Support patients with complex conditions such as post-operative recovery, renal issues, substance withdrawal, and cardiac rhythm monitoring
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate patient-centered care
• Float to other areas as needed based on unit demand and patient care needs
